What Are Widgets?

Widgets in iClassPro display important business metrics directly on your Welcome Page and/or Dashboard. They allow staff to see account activity, enrollment data, and performance trends at a glance. Some widgets display simple counts, while others compare data across time periods or provide links to additional details.

Overview

iClassPro offers a variety of widgets to help administrators monitor business operations. Depending on their type, widgets can:

  • Show counts of activities (e.g., number of enrollments, drops, or payments).
  • Compare metrics across timeframes (e.g., this month vs. last month or last year).
  • Provide visualizations to highlight performance trends.
  • Link directly to related pages or reports with filters pre-applied.

Data Comparisons

  • “Last Year” comparisons are based on the same day in the previous year.
  • “Last Month” comparisons are based on the last day of the previous month.
    • This accounts for leap years or calendar irregularities.
  • Example: If today is August 1, 2024,
    • “Last Month” reflects July 31, 2024 results.
    • “Last Year” reflects August 1, 2023 results.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

  • Why are my “Last Year” and “Last Month” numbers slightly different from what I expect?
    • The system uses the same day of the previous year and the last day of the previous month for calculations. This avoids discrepancies caused by leap years or different calendar lengths.
  • Do all widgets require special permissions?
    • No. Most only require access to the Dashboard or Welcome Page. Any widget that requires specific permissions will note these requirements in its description.
