Customers can redeem available Punch Passes directly from the Check-In Kiosk to attend a class or appointment on the same day. When a Punch Pass is redeemed, the System creates either a Single Day enrollment for classes or a booking for appointments, based on the selected event and the Punch Pass configuration.

Overview
The Check-In Kiosk allows customers to use Punch Passes at the time of arrival, without staff assistance. This workflow supports both class attendance and appointment bookings, while automatically enforcing Punch Pass limits, class capacity rules, and scheduling constraints.
Accessing the Feature
Before customers can redeem Punch Passes from the Check-In Kiosk, the staff account used to launch the kiosk must have the appropriate permissions.
- The kiosk must be launched by a staff user with Check-In Kiosk access enabled.
- Required permissions are configured on the staff user account.
For more information, see How Does the Check-In Kiosk Work?: Staff User Permissions.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Log Into the Kiosk
The customer begins by logging into the Check-In Kiosk using either:
- Their phone number
- A QR code (if enabled)
Step 2: Select the Available Punch Pass
If Punch Passes are available, the kiosk will display a “Use [Pass Name] Punch Pass” option under the applicable student(s).
The “[Pass Name]” refers to the specific Punch Pass available to that student.
Note: Family Punch Passes will appear separately for each student. Selecting the Punch Pass will automatically apply the punch to the student listed.
Step 3: View Eligible Events
After selecting the Punch Pass, a list of eligible classes or appointments will appear. These options are based on:
- Class requirements and maximum allowed occupancy
- The Punch Pass’s limitations
- The number of remaining punches
Note: The Kiosk will also show any classes where another student has recorded an expected absence for the day, as these will allow temporary enrollments.
Step 4: Redeem the Pass
The customer selects the eligible event and chooses “Punch In.”
- If a class is selected: the system creates a Single Day enrollment for that day.
- If an appointment is selected: a booking is created for that specific appointment time.
Step 5: Confirmation Message
A confirmation screen will appear showing that the student has successfully punched in.
Step 6: Finish and Exit
The customer selects “I’m Done” to finish the check-in session. A logout timer will begin to automatically log them out shortly.
Enrollment Behavior Details
When a Punch Pass is redeemed for a class, enrollment behavior depends on the class schedule:
-
Multiple meeting times on the same day
- The student is enrolled in all timeslots for that day.
- Example:
- Monday from 7:00 PM–8:00 PM and 8:00 PM–9:00 PM
- Both sessions are enrolled.
-
Classes meeting on multiple days
- Only the current day’s meeting is used.
- Example:
- Monday from 7:00 PM–8:00 PM
- Wednesday from 8:00 PM–9:00 PM
- If punched in on Monday, only Monday is booked.
-
Appointments
- A booking applies only to the selected timeslot.
Troubleshooting & FAQs
