IN BRIEF
The Mass Create Makeup Tokens tool allows administrators to issue multiple makeup tokens at once for families, individual students, or entire classes. This feature is useful when tokens need to be issued outside of standard scenarios such as class cancellations or missed classes. Tokens created using this tool are considered manually generated and are issued in real time.
Overview
Occasionally, situations arise where multiple makeup tokens need to be issued at the same time rather than individually. Common use cases include:
- Issuing multiple tokens to all students within a single family.
- Issuing tokens to several students who are not part of the same family.
- Issuing tokens to all students enrolled in a specific class.
To streamline this process, iClassPro provides the ability to create makeup tokens in bulk directly from the FAMILIES, STUDENTS, or CLASSES pages.
Important Notes
- A maximum of ten makeup tokens per student can be generated in a single mass creation action.
- The Mass Create Makeup Tokens quick action does not honor the “Limit number of makeup tokens” setting found under SETTINGS>MAKEUP TOKENS.
- Tokens created using this feature are considered manually created tokens.
- The “Limit number of makeup tokens” setting applies only to automatically generated tokens, not manually created ones.
Accessing the Feature
The Mass Create Makeup Tokens tool can be accessed from multiple areas of the System, depending on how tokens need to be issued:
- FAMILIES page
- STUDENTS page
- CLASSES page
From each page, the workflow is initiated by selecting one or more records and using the Generate Makeup Tokens quick action.

Troubleshooting & FAQs
-
Why does the number of generated tokens differ from what I expected?
- Only students who meet the selected filter criteria receive tokens. If some students do not qualify based on enrollment status, dates, or settings, fewer tokens may be generated.
-
Why are students with makeup enrollments not receiving tokens when creating from classes?
- Students with makeup enrollments are included only if “Create a New Makeup Token for Missed Makeup Enrollments” is enabled under SETTINGS>MAKEUP TOKENS.
-
Why does this tool ignore the “Limit number of makeup tokens” setting?
- Mass-created tokens are considered manually created tokens. The limit setting applies only to automatically generated tokens.
