The Enrollment by Postal/Zip Code Report (FAM-7) shows the number of families and students associated with each Postal/Zip Code entered in family mailing addresses. The report groups results by Postal/Zip Code and includes the associated city, state, total family count, and total student count.
Overview
The Enrollment by Postal/Zip Code Report (FAM-7) lists the number of families and students in the database associated with a specified Postal/Zip Code, based on the mailing address on the family account.
The report is divided by Postal/Zip Code and includes:
- Postal/Zip Code
- Associated city
- Associated state
- Total number of families associated with that Postal/Zip Code
- Total number of students associated with that Postal/Zip Code
When to Use This Report
Use this report when you need to:
- Review the number of families or students by Postal/Zip Code
- Identify geographic concentrations of enrolled families
- Compare family or student counts by mailing address area
- Review active, inactive, future-enrolled, previously enrolled, or never-enrolled families by location
- Filter enrollment data by class, camp, instructor, program, keyword, referral source, or enrollment status
Important Notes
- Filters related to enrollments produce results based on the Advanced Active/Inactive Search or As Of Date selected when generating the report.
- Changing the report date range after making Pre-filter selections may cause some selected options to become invalid. Invalid selections will not be reflected on the final report.
Using Preset Filters
If you commonly use the same filters when running this report, you can save those selections as Preset Filters. After saving a Preset Filter, you can load it when opening the report page, set your date range, and generate the report in your preferred format.

Accessing the Report
- From the main navigation menu, go to Reports.
- Select Family Reports.
- Select Enrollment by Postal/Zip Code Report (FAM-7).
- Apply the needed filters.
- Generate the report in the preferred format.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Navigate to the Enrollment by Postal/Zip Code Report (FAM-7).
- Choose whether to use Advanced Active/Inactive Search or As Of Date.
- Select the appropriate enrollment status or date range options.
- Choose the enrollment type or types to include.
- Apply any additional filters needed to narrow the report results.
- Select the preferred report format.
- Generate the report.
General Filters

Advanced Active/Inactive Search or As Of Date: Use this option to determine how the System evaluates whether families should be included based on enrollment activity.
- If Advanced Active/Inactive Search is left disabled, the System uses the As Of Date to evaluate families active as of that date.
- The As Of Date defaults to the current date.
- When using an As Of Date, an enrollment status can also be selected.
- Currently Enrolled (Active): Includes families or students with an "ACTIVE" type enrollment in classes or camps on the As Of Date, regardless of past or future enrollment status.
- Enrolled in the Future (Only): Includes families or students who do not have a current "ACTIVE" type enrollment in classes or camps on the As Of Date, but do have an "ACTIVE" type enrollment after that date.
- Previously Enrolled (Only): Includes families or students who do not have a current "ACTIVE" type enrollment in classes or camps on the As Of Date, but did have an "ACTIVE" type enrollment before that date.
- Never Enrolled: Includes families or students with no recorded "ACTIVE" type enrollments in classes or camps.
Advanced Active/Inactive Search Date Options
If Advanced Active/Inactive Search is enabled, the System displays date range options:
- Active Date Search: Includes families that had an active enrollment within the specified date range.
- Inactive Date Search: Includes families that were inactive within the specified date range.
- If both options are enabled, both statements must be true:
- The family must have been active within the specified active date range.
- The family must have been inactive within the specified inactive date range.
Enrollment Type Filters

Enrollment Type: Use this filter to choose whether the report includes class enrollments, camp enrollments, or both.
- Include Class Enrollments: Includes only families with "ACTIVE" type Class enrollments during the specified date range or on the specified As Of Date.

Include Camp Enrollments: Includes only families with "ACTIVE" type Camp enrollments during the specified date range or on the specified As Of Date.
- Camp enrollments are considered ACTIVE in a camp for a period of time starting with the first selected block and ending with the last selected block.
- For example, if a student is enrolled only on May 5 and May 8, their enrollment is considered active from May 5–May 8, including May 6 and May 7.
- Include Appointment Bookings: Includes only families with an appointment booking during the specified date range or on the specified As Of Date.

Any/All: Appears when more than one enrollment type is selected and determines whether families must match any selected enrollment type or all selected enrollment types.
- Any: Includes families with either class enrollments, camp enrollments, OR appointment bookings.
- All: Includes families with either class enrollments, camp enrollments, AND appointment bookings.
Enrollment Type Status Filters
Use this filter to limit the report by selected enrollment statuses.
- Active
- Single Day
- Make Up
- Trial
- Wait List
Location, Class, Camp, and Program Filters
- Locations: Use Locations to limit the report to families with enrollments associated with the selected Location or Locations.

Class/Camp Status: Use Class/Camp Status to limit the report to families with enrollments in classes or camps based on whether those classes or camps are currently active or inactive. (NOTE: There is currently no “Inactive” status for appointments.)
- Active: Limits the report to families with enrollments in classes or camps currently marked "Active."
- Inactive: Limits the report to families with enrollments in classes or camps currently marked "Inactive."

Instructors: Select one or more Instructor(s) to limit the report to families with enrollments in a class associated with the specified Instructor(s).
- Entries will not be included on the final report for any selected instructor or staff member who was not associated with specified enrollments, events, or related records during the selected date or date range.
- If an instructor was deleted after the report start date, the results will include relevant entries for the instructor on the date or dates before they were deleted.
- If an instructor was created or attached to an event after the report end date, the instructor will not be included in the results.

Program: Select one or more programs to limit the report to families with active enrollments in classes or camps assigned to the selected program or programs, within the parameters defined by the status filters.
- Leaving this filter blank includes all programs.
Keyword and Referral Filters

Family Keywords: Select one or more family keywords to limit the report to families associated with the selected family keyword or keywords, within the parameters defined by the status filters.
- Leaving this filter blank includes all families.
- Selecting multiple family keywords only includes families associated with all selected family keywords.

Student Keywords: Select one or more student keywords to limit the report to families associated with the selected student keyword or keywords, within the parameters defined by the status filters.
- Leaving this filter blank includes all families.
- Selecting multiple student keywords only includes families associated with all selected student keywords.

Program Keywords: Select one or more program keywords to limit the report to families with enrollments in classes or camps associated with the selected program keyword or keywords, within the parameters defined by the status filters.
- Leaving this filter blank includes all families.
- Selecting multiple program keywords only includes families associated with all selected program keywords.

Class Keywords: Select one or more class keywords to limit the report to families with enrollments in classes associated with the selected class keyword or keywords, within the parameters defined by the status filters.
- Leaving this filter blank includes all families.
- Selecting multiple class keywords only includes families associated with all selected class keywords.

Camp Keywords: Select one or more camp keywords to limit the report to families with enrollments in camps associated with the selected camp keyword or keywords, within the parameters defined by the status filters.
- Leaving this filter blank includes all families.
- Selecting multiple camp keywords only includes families associated with all selected camp keywords.

Appointment Keywords: Select one or more appointment keywords to limit the report to families with bookings in appointments associated with the selected appointment keyword or keywords, within the parameters defined by the status filters.
- Leaving this filter blank includes all families.
- Selecting multiple appointment keywords only includes families associated with all selected appointment keywords.

Referral Source: Select a Referral Source to limit the report to families with the selected Referral Source associated with their account.
- Leaving this filter blank includes all families.
Class/Camp/Appointment Filters

Pre-filter: Use the Pre-filter to limit the available options shown in the Choose Class/Camp/Appointment filters.
- The Pre-filter only affects which options are shown in the Choose Class/Camp/Appointment filters.
- If specific classes or camps are selected after using the Pre-filter, those selections affect the data shown on the final report.

Instructors: Select one or more Instructor(s) to limit the Choose Class/Camp/Appointment filters to only show classes, camps, and/or appointments associated with the specified Instructor(s).
- Entries will not be included on the final report for any selected instructor or staff member who was not associated with specified enrollments, events, or related records during the selected date or date range.
- If an instructor was deleted after the report start date, the results will include relevant entries for the instructor on the date or dates before they were deleted.
- If an instructor was created or attached to an event after the report end date, the instructor will not be included in the results.
- Choose Class: Select one or more Classes to limit the report to families with an active enrollment in that class, as determined by the Advanced Active/Inactive Search or As Of Date.
- Choose Camp: Select one or more Camps to limit the report to families with an active enrollment in that camp, as determined by the Advanced Active/Inactive Search or As Of Date.
- Choose Appointment: Select or or more Appointments to limit the report to families with an active booking in that appointment, as determined by the Advanced Active/Inactive Search or As Of Date.
Generating the Report
- Select your desired export format (such as HTML, PDF, XLS, or CSV) at the bottom of the report window.
- The System will immediately generate the report in the selected format.
Troubleshooting & FAQs

Why are some families missing from the report?
- Review the selected Advanced Active/Inactive Search or As Of Date options. Filters related to enrollments produce results based on the selected dates, enrollment status, enrollment type, and any additional filters applied.

Why did my class/camp/appointment selection disappear after changing the date range?
- Changing the report date range after making Pre-filter selections may cause some selections to become invalid. Invalid selections will not be reflected on the final report.

Why is a camp enrollment counted as active on dates when the student did not attend?
- Camp enrollments are considered ACTIVE from the first selected block through the last selected block. If a student is enrolled only on May 5 and May 8, the enrollment is considered active from May 5–May 8, including May 6 and May 7.

Why is a selected instructor not included in the final report?
- The report only includes entries for selected instructors or staff members who were associated with specified enrollments, events, or related records during the selected date or date range. If the instructor was created or attached after the report end date, they will not be included.

Can I save frequently used filter settings?
- Yes. If you commonly use the same filters, save them as Presets. Then load the Preset Filter when opening the report page, set the date range, and generate the report in the preferred format.
