The Drop Summary Report (CLA-22) generates a summary of Drop Reason entries and the total number of dropped enrollments assigned to each Drop Reason within a selected date range. Administrators can use this report to review drop trends, evaluate common reasons for dropped enrollments, and compare results by Location, enrollment type, instructor, Program, Class Level, Drop Reason, or class Status.
Overview
The Drop Summary Report lists each Drop Reason assigned to dropped enrollments during the selected date range. The report also shows the total number of dropped enrollments associated with each Drop Reason.
Use this report when you need to understand why students leave enrollments, identify common drop patterns, or review dropped enrollment totals for a specific Location, Program, instructor, Class Level, enrollment type, or class Status.
The report only includes enrollments with drop dates that fall within the selected Dropped From Start Date/End Date range. Additional filters allow administrators to narrow results to specific enrollment types, class details, or Drop Reasons.
Using Preset Filters
If you commonly use the same filters when running this report, you can save those selections as Preset Filters. After saving a Preset Filter, you can load it when opening the report page, set your date range, and generate the report in your preferred format.

Accessing the Report
- From the main navigation menu, go to Reports.
- Locate the Drop Summary Report (CLA-22).
- Select the report to open the filter options.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Open the Drop Summary Report (CLA-22) from the Reports page.
- Set the Dropped From Start Date/End Date range.
- The System will only review enrollments with assigned drop dates that fall within this date range.
- Select one or more Locations.
- The System will only include enrollments associated with the selected Location or Locations.
- Choose the Enrollment Type Status options to include in the report:
- Active
- Single Day — if enabled
- Make Up
- Trial
- Wait List
- Use Choose Instructor to limit the report to dropped enrollments in classes associated with one or more selected Instructors.
- Use Choose Program to limit the report to dropped enrollments in classes associated with one or more selected Programs.
- Use Choose Levels to limit the report to dropped enrollments in classes associated with one or more selected Class Levels.
- Use Choose Drop Reason to limit the report to dropped enrollments with one or more selected Drop Reasons assigned.
- Use the Status filter under Class Filters to limit results by class Status:
- Active — the System will only include enrollments in classes marked “Active.”
- Inactive — the System will only include enrollments in classes marked “Inactive.”
Instructor filter notes
When using Choose Instructor, the report follows these rules:
- Entries will not be included on the final report for any selected instructor or staff member who was not associated with the specified enrollments, events, or other report criteria during the selected date or date range.
- If an instructor was deleted after the start date of the report, the results will include relevant entries for that instructor on the dates before they were deleted.
- If an instructor was created or attached to an event after the end date of the report, the instructor will not be included in the results.
Generating the Report
- Select your desired export format (such as HTML, PDF, XLS, or CSV) at the bottom of the report.
- The System will immediately generate the report in the selected format.
Troubleshooting & FAQs

Why does the report not show a Drop Reason I expected to see?
- Confirm that the enrollment has a drop date within the selected Dropped From Start Date/End Date range and that the selected filters include the enrollment’s Location, enrollment type, Program, Class Level, instructor, class Status, and assigned Drop Reason.

Why is an instructor missing from the report results?
- The report only includes entries for instructors associated with enrollments, events, or other applicable report criteria during the selected date or date range. If the instructor was created or attached after the report’s end date, the report will not include that instructor.

Why do I see results for an instructor who has been deleted?
- If an instructor was deleted after the report’s start date, the report may include relevant entries for the dates before the instructor was deleted.

Can I save the filters I use most often?
- Yes. Use Preset Filters to save commonly used report filters. Load the Preset Filter when opening the report, set the date range, and generate the report.
