Effective June 19, 2023, all users must set up two-factor authentication (2FA) to access the merchant portal. 2FA adds an extra layer of security to your merchant portal account by requiring a verification code from an authenticator app during login.
Overview
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is required for all users accessing the merchant portal to help protect sensitive financial and personal data. This process uses an authenticator app—such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator—to generate a secure, time-based verification code during login.
If 2FA is not set up, the System will prompt you to complete setup upon login. You will not be able to proceed into your account until setup is complete.
Accessing the Feature
- Log in to the Merchant Portal.
- Select PROFILE.
- Select SECURITY.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- From the SECURITY section, locate the Multi-Factor Authentication area.
- Select [Click to Setup Authenticator App].
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup:
- Download an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator).
- Scan the QR code displayed on the screen using the app.
- Enter the six-digit authentication code generated by the app.
- Select Verify to confirm setup.
- Once completed, a confirmation message will appear indicating the authenticator app was set up successfully.
Additional Details
- If you are unable to scan the QR code, you may manually enter the provided code into your authenticator app.
- The authentication code refreshes periodically; ensure you enter the current code shown in your app.
