How Do I Enable "Guided Access" Mode for the iClassPro Kiosk App?

Why do I need to enable "Guided Access" mode?

When using an iPad or other iOS device as a customer-facing kiosk. it is recommended that you enable “Guided Access” mode. Guided Access limits an iOS device to a single application to prevent unwanted app or web-browser usage.

Setting Up Guided Access 

  1. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Guided Access
  2. Turn on Guided Access
  3. Tap “Passcode Settings”, then tap “Set Guided Access Passcode”
  4. Enter a passcode (be sure to remember this)

To prevent the screen from sleeping in Guided Access Mode

  1. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Guided Access
  2. Enable "Mirror Display Auto-Lock".
  3. Exit the Settings menu.

Starting a Guided Access Session

  1. Open the iClassPro Kiosk app
  2. Triple click the Home button (for iPad Pro devices without a Home button, triple click the power button.
  3. Tap Start 

Exiting a Guided Access Session

  1. Triple click the Home button (for iPad Pro devices, triple click the power button)
  2. Enter the Guided Access passcode you selected
  3. Tap End

You will need to restart a Guided Access Session every time you exit it.
