How Do I Sign Up for Payment Processing with Stripe?

Payment processing with Stripe allows eligible iClassPro customers to accept credit card payments directly through the Office Portal. To sign up, customers must gather required business and personal information, complete Stripe’s application, and finalize account configuration with the iClassPro Payments team. 

Overview

The signup process for Stripe payment processing can be completed within the Office Portal after the iClassPro Payments team configures a preliminary payment gateway. Users will then provide Stripe with required business and personal information to complete the application. Once approved and configured, the System will allow credit card payment acceptance.

Accessing the Feature

  1. A member of the iClassPro Payments team must first configure a preliminary payment gateway on your account.
  2. After you have been notified that this setup is complete, navigate to SETTINGS>TRANSACTIONS in the Office Portal.
  3. Locate the Gateway Setup section.
  4. Select Sign Up for a Merchant Account to be redirected to Stripe’s application website.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Before You Begin

Ensure you have the following information readily available:

  • Business type associated with your company’s legal entity:
    • “Individual or sole proprietorship”
    • “Company”
    • “Nonprofit organization”
  • Personal information for the business owner:
    • Full name
    • Date of birth
    • Home address
  • Business information for your business or nonprofit organization:
    • Legal business name
    • Business address
    • Personal/contact information for owners, directors, and executives
  • The legal business name must exactly match the name associated with your business number (BN).

Completing the Stripe Application

  1. Select Sign Up for a Merchant Account from Settings > Transactions.
  2. Enter all required personal and business details on Stripe’s website.
    • Requirements may vary depending on local regulations in your country.
  3. Review all information and submit the application.

After Submitting the Application

  1. After selecting Submit, you will be redirected back to Settings > Transactions in the Office Portal, where the Gateway Setup section will update to indicate that your merchant account request is being processed.
  2. The iClassPro Payments team will contact you to obtain any remaining required information, such as bank account details needed to process deposits.
  3. Stripe may also reach out separately to request additional items, such as:
    • Copies of identification cards
    • Additional business documents
  4. Once all required information has been provided and your account is fully configured, the Gateway Setup screen will display a confirmation message: 
    “Congratulations! You are now able to take payments by credit card.”

Troubleshooting & FAQs

  • Why am I not seeing the option to sign up for a merchant account in SETTINGS>TRANSACTIONS?
    • A preliminary gateway must be configured by the iClassPro Payments team. Contact payments@iclasspro.com to verify whether your account is eligible and set up.
  • Stripe is asking for additional documents. Is this normal?
    • Yes. Stripe may require identification cards or business documents to comply with local regulations. Follow Stripe’s instructions to complete the review process.
  • My business name is not being accepted in the application. What should I check?
    • Ensure the business name matches the name associated with your business number (BN) exactly, including punctuation and spacing.
