Clearing the Browser History

iClassPro performance can be improved by clearing the browser history. This will also help ensure you have the latest updates in iClassPro. This brief tutorial will show you how to clear the history in your browser. For the best performance, we recommend using Mozilla Firefox with iClassPro.

 

Clearing the History in Firefox

  • Click on "Tools" in the menu bar.

  • Click "Clear Recent History" on the Tools menu.

  • The "Clear All History" dialog box appears

  • You can also hit the "Ctrl," "Shift," and "Delete" keys on the keyboard.
  • Be sure that "Browsing & Download History," "Cookies," and "Cache" all have been checked.
  • Click "Clear Now." Your History, Cookies, and Cache will be cleared.

 

Clearing the History in Internet Explorer

  • Click on the "Tools" menu, which looks like a sprocket, under the "X" buttons

  • Click the gear.
  • Hover over "Safety." A submenu appears.
  • Click "Delete Browsing History."

  • The "Delete Browsing History" dialog box appears.

  • You can also hit the "Ctrl," "Shift," and "Delete" keys on the keyboard.
  • Make sure that "Temporary Internet Files," "Cookies," and "History" have been checked.
  • Make sure that "Passwords" is NOT CHECKED in order to save your passwords!
  • Click "Delete" to clear your history, cookies, and temporary files.

 

Clearing the History in Chrome

  • Click the wrench icon on the upper right of the browser, under the close icon.

  • Hover over "Tools"
  • Click "Clear Browsing Data"

  • The Options page will open in a new tab and the "Clear Browsing Data" dialog box will open.

  • You can also hit the "Ctrl," "Shift," and "Delete" keys on the keyboard.
  • Be sure that "Clear the browsing history," "Empty the cache," and "Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data" are checked.
  • Make sure that "Clear saved passwords" is NOT CHECKED to keep your saved passwords!
  • Click "Clear browsing data" to clear your history, cache, and cookies.

 

Clearing the History in Safari

  • Click the Action icon in the upper right corner next to the search bar. It looks like a gear. It's next to the New icon.

  • Click on "Preferences" on the Menu

  • The Preferences Dialog box opens. Click on "Privacy."

  • This opens the Privacy tab in the dialog box.

  • Click "Remove All Website Data."
  • Your history, cache, and cookies have been cleared.
