Enhanced Attendance Module Now Faster and Easier

Attendance Module Enhanced
The attendance has been improved on the classes page. It is now faster and easier to mark attendance for each class. Below are the instructions to mark attendance.
Here is a list of the changes made:
- New period view of a month
- Color codes to quickly view how attendance is marked
- Quick marking buttons to mark all present or all absent
- Faster to save marked attendance. Just mark all as desired, and then click save and close.
- In an effort to simplify the attendance, the left early, tardy, and excused/unexcused options have been removed. The majority of our users didn't use these options. We apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused.
To Mark Attendance:
1) Go to the classes page and find the class you want to mark. Click the "Class Attendance" button to open the attendance window:
When the class attendance window opens, it will show you all the times that class meets in the current week. The days are labeled at the top of each column.
Click the 'P' or 'A' button to mark all present or all absent. Click the 'Save and Close' button at the bottom of the window. The fastest way to take attendance would be to mark all present, go down and click the radio button for any absent student, then save.
Mark/View Attendance for a Specific Student:
1) Go to the students page, and click the green enrollments button. Then, click the class attendance button. Now you will see enrollments just for that specific student. This is currently the easiest way to see past attendance for a specific student.

Thanks for the improvements guys. This will definitely help. Is there a way to get directly to this module like in Version 1? a direct URL for instance that only requires the employee to log in and they instantly see the attendance module and that only?
It is an improvement, but again, still not as good as Version 1. Too many steps for a coach to pull up just his/her classes. When he/she sign in, they should only have the ability to see their classes for that day and take attendance quickly. Another thing that should go hand in hand is the attendance report that was in Version I. We still need to see who did NOT take attendance the day before.
Please keep in mind, coaches need to take attendance quickly so they can go on with their class and/or pass the iPad on to another coach.
Kudos for viewing a students past attendance record.

I think what you are both looking for is the mobile attendance page we had in V1. There was a direct URL to the attendance page and an attendance button on the login page. We plan on bringing that back, and that is actually still in the works. That will come in our next update very soon! Please stay tuned to our announcements. After we knock that out, we will be working on the attendance reports! Thanks for your continued support and patience!

We use an iPad to take attendance in the current version which works ok, but if a class has more than 20 or so kids, you cant scroll all the way to the bottom of the class list. I understand that there may be a new version soon, but does anyone else use and iPad and have you found a workaround for this situation? Were using the Safari browser on the iPad. Maybe there is another browser that would work better.
There are no real alternatives to using Safari on the iPad. I am anxiously waiting for the updated simpler version Donnie refers to as the Mobile Attendance page. I would prefer my coaches use their iPhone or Droid vs. me having a couple $500 iPads floating around the gym. We have 2 PC stations setup in strategic areas right now but the current way of taking attendance is still too time consuming when you have 8 classes starting at one time.
Attendance easier to read and come up once we click through the steps to get to that class but we did use the excused/ absence/late features in our gym. We have clients who do keep track of their makeups or supposed excused absences. We really did like the version 1 format more but keep up the improvements
